Quality is key to achieve customer’s satisfaction. There is only one focal point in business today: our customers. Customers define quality and it is must to produce exactly what he wants within the agreed framework at minimum cost. If the customer is not satisfied with the product or services then he will buy from other company and so loss to our business. Therefore, customer’s satisfaction or quality in other words is not an option but essential for survival.
People perform and manage various activities in any organization. Their activities are interlinked. People manage people who manage processes. To effectively manage quality, the organization has to work through the chain of people who work on and in process. The people chain and therefore quality is achieved through people. This chain of people starts and finishes with the top management. The quality of ultimate product will depend upon the quality of people’s performance or activities. And so it is imperative that these activities must be managed in most effective way and it is only possible with a top class `Quality management system.’ ie.ISO 9001: 2008
