*9% employees were not aware whether their company was ISO certified.
*25% employees were not aware if there was some quality policy in their company.
*88% employees could not tell us about the content of quality policy.
*99% employees were not aware about procedure, work instruction which is a part of ISO 9000 system.
The valid question is even when management with utmost honesty conducts training programmes, what is the population that is exposed to “specific programmes”!
Just calculate. Not 0.5% of employees are exposed to such learning/training programmes!!
How to expose more and more employees to such programmes?
Future lies in e-learning. Certificate programmes through e-learning.
Sometimes non availability of machine & resources become one of the major hurdles in the skill development. Why Simulations cannot be developed for cranes, Hydraulics or for any other topic?
Why ID login cannot be given to individual employees (including workers)? Why courses cannot be in local languages? Let them learn. Let them take an examination. Let them get a score. Let them get a proficiency certificate. Let them Submit a certificate to the personnel department. Let them get some “incentive” for proficiency attained by them! This will save an employee from embarrassment of “failure”!
The online test needs to be transparent. And the software for such learning has to be “unbiased” without possibility of corruption.
This is how training & education is going to be!
Not only in industry but in school & colleges also, training centers will be a place for interaction, socialising or creativity and finally all leading to innovation.
This opportunity of E-learning is “before time knocking”. Whosoever, avails, will be a winner!
